Thirty day challenge in six parts.

The title on this is a little deceiving. I'm not doing some work out challenge or like a diet. It's simply something that you're supposed to write about yourself everyday in a journal for a month. And I started this during the New Year and I last about ten days. So I'm gonna answer five questions every so often.

1- Five ways to win my heart:
    1. Bring me my favorite food and snacks. For real though. Most girls want flowers and song sung to them. Just come with my favorite food and we'll be good. It shows that you know me and don't just go with the mainstream gifts.
     2. Trust me: I hate having to explain myself to people about dumb stuff. If I say one thing I need you to just trust me and I'll have that same trust for you.
     3. Give me time to open up: I'm pretty shy and first but given time I will open and feel more comfortable and you see how awesome I truly am :)
     4. Tell me nice things that you like about me, not really that I'm "pretty" or "hot" cause those will just in one ear and out the other. Tell something you like about my character or my weird quirks.
     5. Make me experience life: I'm kind of a home body which I love, I really do, but I should get out more and do activities and go see things. We can also do cliche couples activities and just laugh at them.

2- Something I feel strongly about:
I think having deep friendships with people is really important. Since I'm in college it's kind of expected to go out and party and make a bunch of new friends but ten years down the road those people won't matter. Plus I really only like to use my energy towards spending time with people I actually enjoy spending time with which is a classic case of introvertedness but I stand by it.

3- A book I love:
That's really hard for me to choose but I really like the book Edenbrooke and Dante's Inferno. I know, two totallly different books.
Edenbrooke just cause the main character is so easy to relate to and the boy in it is amazing :)
Dante's Inferno I just love the symbolism and the depth that the book has. It's crazy and kind of gross but it's also poetic at the same time.

4- Bullet point my day:
  • Woke up at 7, dead tired.
  • Went to school.
  • Came Home and caught up on some of my shows (Criminal Minds and Psych)
  • Studied for my accounting test.
  • Went to get Ice Cream with my friends Taylor and Makenzie.
  • Came home and got ready for bed.
5- Things you want to say to and ex.
Well I've never had a boyfriend so with that comes no ex boyfriend.

Quotes.

As I mentioned in another post that I did was that I do the whole pinterest thing. I look up recipes, I try to be crafty and creative, and I attempt to make myself look good with all the make-up and hair tips (I'm just still so lazy).

Everyone that is on pinterest knows that there are some awesome inspirational quotes and I just want to share a
few of my favorites ones.

Most people have read or pretended to read to Kill a Mockingbird for school. And at least when I read it I didn't fully understand how great of a book it was. This quote from it, I think is amazingly true. Constantly everyone is being judged whether it be by themselves or other people. But people tend to forget that everyone is fighting their own secret battle and no one can truly understand until they've walked in their shoes. If everyone wore their hardships on their sleeves that I believe that we would live in a less judgmental world.

Ah the beautiful Tom Hiddleston. Totally my celebrity love right now and not just cause of the beautiful face. I don't know if he actually said this quote but regardless of who said it, it's still true. So often you see the disrespect of woman but that doesn't mean that a man can stand from the crowd. Respect is something I feel is very important and it isn't something that should be taken lightly especially for someone you truly love.

I adore this quote. It has been my wallpaper for the longest time. People all the time believe that once a certain thing happens in their life than they can be happy. Why waste time wishing you were happy when you can just be happy. At time I catch myself doing thing especially now seeing everyone around me finding love and all that shiz but that's stupid. So what I don't have someone in my life right now, doesn't mean it's never going to happen. But while I'm waiting for that special someone I'm gonna have a good time and do my own thing. It's just hard to always keep that in mind but I'm getting better.

If you've seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty then you know what's up with this quote. In the movie though it said about a snow leopard but it applies to so much more. I believe people that make a scene or are loud just to be loud are more insecure about themselves then they are confident. If you are comfortable with yourself then you shouldn't feel the need to call attention to yourself. If you think you are beautiful then you'll let people know that as they get to know you over time.

This applies to my future man. Ha. As girls we have an idea of what type of person we want to be with. Most girls want someone that's "nice, funny, and smart". That covers a lot of boys ladies. I'm not saying get super specific but understand that people have their quirks. That something that I want it a man are quirks. I want you to be different and a little nerdy and be a little crazy at times. I'll be the same way and you better get used to it :)

It amazing how relaxing it is when you learn to not care what other people think. I mean I don't think you every fully get to a point to where you can do something and not even wonder what others are think but once you just embrace who you are, you're gonna find some awesome people in your life and it's totally worth it.

Wedding!

So recently my oldest brother got married. This is his second time going through the task of a wedding but this time was so much better. We like the wife.

They got married at the Oqurrih Mountain Temple. It was gorgeous and so much fun, even though I had to smile a billion times and I hate pictures.

The reception had delicious food and we dance the night away. My feet definitely hurt by the end of the night. Doing the Mexican stomp for fours hours in heels hurts!
Look at these cute kids!
We look good that night.

Coincdences.

This is really long, feel free to pass by it.

Coincidences can be a great thing and a cruel thing. When it comes to most occasion I am not an advocate for believing that it was a coincidence. I'm usually the type of person that believes that all things happen for a reason so I take thing as they are. But there is one thing that I will always categorize as a coincidence.

When registering for class in High School my original plan was to take physics my sophomore year and take chemistry my junior year. I heard chemistry was really hard so I figured 11th grade me could handle it. Due to the fact that I was a little nervous to take all my classes alone, I changed my mind and took chemistry A2 and health science A3. Things really ended up working out because I had chemistry with a friend and health science with friend. High School was looking up and I hadn't even started yet.

First day in health science I walked into class, found my friend, and then we found our seats (we had a seating chart like children). Luckily we sat next to each other second row from the back. In the very front seat of the row to the right of me sat a senior boy who had a pretty sweet foe-hawk and a cool scarf. He was intriguing.

Like I said before I sat second row from the back. Kiddy corner from me on the back row was another senior boy and he was the intriguing boy's friend. He decided to move from the front row to right behind me. At the time I didn't care.

The first High School dance is always homecoming. This is also the dance where each grade has royalty for the dance. A very good friend of mine at the time was a senior and for fun she decided to put me down as a contestant for homecoming royalty. When she did this it was during lunch and she was sitting with all of her friends. Her friends consisted of like six boys and one of them being the intriguing boy. They joined in on the fun of nominating me for royalty.

The next A-day in health science we were doing assignment that required computers. Our teacher had us turn our seats around so she could see our computer screens (again like children). Boy behind decided not to turn around so we were face-to-face. He brought up the fact that my name was in the pool for royalty and I explained to him that it wasn't going to happen, and also that I couldn't even attend homecoming, not old enough.

Throughout the school year, my awkwardness towards him increases exponentially because I began to have a crush on him. Him pulling my split ends and making conversation at times didn't help. Was that anything to really base it on? Not at all. One day in class, randomly he sang the song "Replay" by Iyaz. This will matter later.

My childhood best friend was in choir. Me being the supportive best friend that I was I went to the concert oblivious to the performances of the night. You guessed it, boy performed a beautiful duet. Christmas assembly came around a little later. Boy performed a beautiful solo. I couldn't escape anything. At this point I knew I was screwed forever. I'm the type of person that loves people forever.

The semester ended and the class was over I found it a good time to move on. Of course that didn't happen. So he was in a photography class and during lunch I went over to talk to our mutual friend. I was wearing a beaded flower that was from Ecuador. It looked exotic and cool. He asked if he could take a picture of it but sadly the bell rang but not a big deal, whatever. Every semester of school at some point I had to go the absent school. I came barely on time one morning but there were no seats left. I look over and there he was standing up to give me his seat. I said in my mind, "S*%!, I'm gonna love you forever". Ha ha. But kinda.

Now time has passed and now I'm just haunted by the song "Replay", the street sign with his name, and a local burger place with his name.

My life through pins.

I was recently looking through my pins and was reminiscing about old pinterest moments. Looking back through them, I basically pin the story of my life and those pins are pretty dang funny! They are funny and sad, but it's my life explain in small quotes and pictures. Ha. So I thought I would share those pins that I deem hilarious.

There are so many reasons why this is true.
Sometimes phone calls are nerve racking...
This is my college life. I do hope you FAIL!
Notice how it's blank. True statement.
 This frequently crosses my mind.
Mother don't talk about me behind my back!
Let's just say flirting doesn't come naturally to me. It's not my forte.
 God bless fast metabolisms.
The reason why I deem my success so hard to reach.
What? How did I know that? I dunno... I heard it from someone.
I'm just gonna step out and put some clothes on... The attacker can't see me naked. Awkward.
 Ha ha. Jogging.
This is my life, except with my cousins. My friends don't date. Ha.
 Ha ha. Running.
 I legitimately have this fear.
But they do, they really do.
 It's so upsetting! Curse buffering!
I feel this way about many people. "We're not friends"
 My daily dilemma.
 Mmm... Agreed.
Why, why must I explain? Yes or No, good enough answer.
Man dime? As you wish....

Cornbellys.

So this weekend Me, Taylor, Kenz and Birk thought we would be festive and go to cornbellys. Mostly we wanted to do the maze, which we pretty much sucked out, so we came out the same way we came in. Plus the corn was cut to our waists so it was kinda lame. As hard as we tried to find our way out of Romney's face, we couldn't.

After we decided that we would go through Cornbellys haunted houses. Fun stuff, right? FALSE. Previous to this event, I never really had gone through a haunted house. Last year I went through Taylor's neighbors haunted barn, it was scary, but baby stuff compared to this. And Cornbellys is baby stuff compared to Nightmare on 13th and etc.

So previous to this I had to prior experience. Lets just say I handle it so badly. I have a tendency to attach to an arm. In this case it was usually Taylors, her arm went numb I was squeezing it so hard. I scream at EVERYTHING. Let's just say I would be a fabulous date to one of these things, which is good because the only way I'm going back is only if I am attached to the arm of a big burly man.

Only under those conditions.

This is us at the Halloween store.
